Subject: OFF to Alk? Is there a way that MT could have a way of indicating which forum users are currently online?Say you dig someone and ask them for advice a good deal, you could add them to some kind of a contacts list, and then MT forum could show you if they are online. Just a thought... |
| we thought about it some time ago, it is rather typical feature of modern forum engines but mt forum is far from to be typical, and mt engine needs to be upgraded asap, so let's postpone it "до лучших времён". |

| SR - no, it is not for a friend, just to know that a person to whom you apply an answer is online now. btw, it is based only on cookies and prone to timeout errors. |

I'm just saying, you could add that person to your list of contacts on [insert social network] and ask them privately! Though I can see how it could bother some. Hrm. OK, sure, it would make sense to see whether someone's browsing the forum right now. I've seen it on other websites. |

x-z If you read what Alk said, he said that first thing they need to do is "upgrade" the server "asap"; so I think they know they are in deep doodies with their users. And my idea was put on the back burner by them long ago. |

No. The forum and many other sections of a normal MT are not available there. Now I am afraid that the faster version is gonna be attacked by everyone who reads this ''vetka''... |
