Subject: и от этого более
Привет коллеги!

Как правильнее перевести след. пассаж: "Гораздо проще и от этого более привлекательной выглядела бы Схема 1."
"и от этого" Можно использовать "thereof"?
"Scheme 1 would look much easier and more attractive thereof".
Заранее благодарю.

"Thereof" looks outta place here. Consider this: Scheme 1 would look much simpler [or easier, which depends on your particular context] and THUS [ну, therefore, если хочешь, чтобы было помпезнее] more attractive.

Also, reconsider "scheme." Если это графическая схема, то лучше было бы diagram or something like that. Ecли это, типа, схема сделки, процесса, то тогда... consider: structure, scenario, plan, flowchart, version, etc.

Thanks.

I knew it could be "thus" or other options but I needed confirmation especially on "thereof" as I put it in that sentence. So, it means "thereof" is surely outta place if it is used in my Russian context?

In case of "scheme" it is really some scheme or diagram but in Russian we discern these terms, and so did I by concluding as "scheme" (in Russian original text it is "схема").

(1) Absolutely. "Thereof" literally means "of it," never "because of it." Also, it's bookish, archaic, and reeks with law. "Therefore" or "thus" is your word.

(2) I'd use "diagram" or better still "chart" (особенно если там стрелки всякие, связи показаны).

... and all the more attractive for that...
