Странный оборот какой-то "that the way this study"... Контекст такой: The definition of therapeutic efficacy as a response in independently assessed response criteria is presently viewed as being a preferable method of suitably linking the statistical significance of results to their clinical relevance. The advisory committees of the German Federal Health Office go beyond other scientific committees in requiring response in all three primary efficacy variables, in spite of the problems of the currently available ADL scales. So we think that the way this study placebo difference of 22% in CGI and 11 % in cognitive performance tasks for the percentage of patients with age-related impairment of brain functions who improved (to any extent) after a maximum treatment duration of 3 months. Considering both the more conservative response criteria and the longer treatment period of 6 months in this study, its efficacy results seem comparable to those observed with the pioneer nootropic drug piracetam. |
