"fixed tissue" в данном случае будет - "обработанная ткань"
"unfixed tissue" - необработанная ткань

то есть в данном контексте, заражение может произойти при контакте с .....

Human Tissue Restrictions

p.s. контекста мало, так как иногда в больницах "необработанные раны" тоже называют "unfixed", порез с рваными краями, например, поэтому и дала как первый вариант "открытая рана"
