Concerning signatures

Добрый день, уважаемые коллеги. В конце стандартного договора подписи сторон - компании и агента. Со стороны компании две графы для подписи:

1. legal entity signature _______
2. business signature _______

От имени компании договор заключал ее филиал. Правильно ли понимаю, что подпись № 1 - это подпись от филиала, а № 2 - самой компании? Или тут что-то другое?

А в начале договора как обозначаются стороны?

Такая-то компания....в скобках (Branch) и Агент (без имени). Стандартная форма без деталей.

i would tend to agree with sol9999 although in the 15 years of legal translation i have not seen it worded like this.

kath, i myself specialize in legal translation as well, and I agree with you it's not a term per se, but I have seen this wording few times in contracts, usually the first legal signature is required by management just to be safe when something goes wrong they will have someone to blame :)

sol9999 - i wonder if both signatories have a stamp? :)). it only makes sense in the way you suggest. perhaps i haven't seen this b/c translate into english, although i do often see bilateral agreemens.

well the wording in question seems to be in english...and it is "standard contract"... it would help to know what kind of contract this is...

I must say even if the overall conract/agreement /what have you tend to have more or less the same main clauses, there are parts of legal documents that are worded lets say "at the discretion" of whoever responsible for drawing the said document. The signatures part is one of them and lately it does quite vary... well I noticed at least

Да, под подписями 1 и 2 стоят Name:_______ и Title:_______ ....
