Вопрос: если стоит в начале "every year", то какое время нужно использовать, present simple or continuous?
Исходя из грамматических правил я склоняюсь к последнему, но тогда почему перевод получается такой мерзопакостный?

Предложение: *Ежегодно увеличивается товарооборот, укрепляются межрегиональные связи, улучшается научно-техническое сотрудничество, проводятся совместные военные учения двух армий*

Мерзопакостный перевод: *Every year the trade volume between our countries is increasing considerably, the interregional ties are being strengthened, the scientific and technical cooperation is extending, join military exercises are being held.*
