Разрулить ситуацию

Again, I need the equivalent of this idiom in English. I have only one varient "to work smth" out, but I need more to compare and pick up the best. The context... as usual is broad, something like "Эта программа поможет разрулить ситуацию". What I need is emphasize the easiness and efficiency.

Насчёт плохого русского не уверен. Мне тоже попадалась такая фраза, её писали журналисты. Слово разрулить было в кавычках. А переводил я её to recover the situation
