Evening/early morning!

Has anyone ever come across a good translation for Забудьте как страшный сон! in English?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Here's the problem: "forget it like a bad dream" sounds kind old and a bit trite.

I am hoping to come up with something more interesting/active/gripping.

Eh... I may just have to use the tried and trite tonight.

Thanks anyhow.

забыть как страшный сон - довольно пошлая фраза на русском. так что они друг друга достойны ;)

Not really. :)) Sometimes you have to have your secrets. :))

Actually, I used "Shake the image like a bad dream" because it fit the context and the style of the document better than anything else.

don't you need "off" to your "shake"?

No. Shaking in slang/jargon/street is not the same.

We shake:
bad habits (I've got to shake this smoking habit of mine!)
bad feelings (I just can't shake the feeling that something isn't right here.)
a person we don't like (Man, you need to shake that guy!)

There are other ways to use it as well.

Not the meaning I am talking about. The Bible is not a good source of street talk. :)

Alk
Izbavit'sa ot or something like it.
