d. Here's the problem: "forget it like a bad dream" sounds kind old and a bit trite. I am hoping to come up with something more interesting/active/gripping. Eh... I may just have to use the tried and trite tonight. Thanks anyhow. |
forget it like a bad trip :)) |
thanks for the thoughts. I already came up with something :) just needed to stop thinking about it. :) |
забыть как страшный сон - довольно пошлая фраза на русском. так что они друг друга достойны ;) |
forget it, like 8) |
I already came up with something care to share? )))))) |
forget it like a wet dream |
оо, мадам знает толк! 8) |
... a nightmare |
Bayan Not really. :)) Sometimes you have to have your secrets. :)) Actually, I used "Shake the image like a bad dream" because it fit the context and the style of the document better than anything else. |
don't you need "off" to your "shake"? |
d. No. Shaking in slang/jargon/street is not the same. We shake: There are other ways to use it as well. |

Like 'Shake The Disease' (by Depeche Mode) |
Like "shake off the dust from your feet" in the Bible)) |
Susan - to shake that guy - how you translate? |

alk, игнорировать, перестать общаться - я бы сказал. |
shake off the dust from your feet - нинада |
Supa Translata Not the meaning I am talking about. The Bible is not a good source of street talk. :) Alk |
forget it like a wet dream хоть некоторые неприятности они и доставляют, но не такие ужасные чтобы прямо заставить захотеть забыть об увиденном и прочувствованном )))))) |
немного абсурда и сюрреализма forget it like a dad dream )))))) |
