Маркировка обычно не переводится, но есть вариант ЭН = N

согласно ГОСТу: э - eh, остальные варианты требуют диакритики.

то есть если нельзя оставить на русском, то ЕН = EN либо EhN (с пояснением)

If you either transcribe or translate, hardly ever will expats finв what they need, right?

For instance, Certificate of Birth No. МЮ I No. XXXXXX could be verified but not in case it is Certificate of Birth No. MYU I No. XXXXXX.
Firstly, as the Russian civil registration authorities do not normally know English
Secondly, MYU can be reversely transcribed as МЫУ.
