I got stuck. Please help me out. I cannot find the Russian equivalent of this "burning embers diagram" in Runet (I have already asked this question, but I need the Russian term which is used in Russian academic texts). Apparently, "diagramma tleyushchih uglei" is not used as no reference has been found in the Internet. How do you normally look for this kind of technical terms which are already used but not fixed in dictionaries? Thank you!

I tell you what: a) most probably there is NO exact term in Russian
b) it's not a term in English either, it's a household nickname which may live for a month or stay for a decade, dependent on how sussessful its proponents are

Therefore, you gotta coin something or use описательный перевод
