Tipping point and element

Tipping elements are regional-scale features of the climate that could exhibit threshold-type behaviour in response to human-driven climate change – that is, a small amount of climate change at a critical point could trigger an abrupt and/or irreversible shift in the tipping element.

Weaker targets for 2020 increase the risk of serious impacts, including the crossing of tipping points, and make the task of meeting 2050 targets more difficult and costly.

спасибо, а никто не знает что в наших русских текстах принято? я в гугле ничего не нашла кроме одной переводной заметки где это точки опрокидывания и все. должны же наши ученые как то изъясняться....

Я бы игрался не с "опрокидыванием", а с "переломом".
