Большая просьба помочь разобраться, кто такие cradles?
контекст: разработчики прислали пояснение к чертежу tender arrangement:
3D model for the tender arrangement.
We made the support for the tender as short as possible, to save weight and space. The cradles are built in aluminium to reduce the weight further. They rest on top of the floors and the tanktop with a layer of rubber in between. The cradles will be held in position with bolts screwed into points that are welded in the tanktop and floors (for the position of which I will make a proposal)
The starboard side of the main tender cradle rests on the floors. You can design the teak panels so that they run up to the tender cradle.
Both cradles have two hinging parts. They hinge upwards to provide easier access to the manholes underneath.

ой нет, это больше похоже на что-то вроде вспомогательных или спасательных шлюпок, не знаю вот скорее это A fuel tank tender is used for facilitating installation, removal and service of vehicle fuel tanks. Elevating jacks mount the cradle to the frame for raising and lowering the cradle relative to the support surface to lift and lower or support the fuel tank relative to the vehicle.
