ИМНО У меня есть на англ. такой договор есть, там в основном Contractor and Contracting Officer, "Contracting Officer determines that a termination is in the Government’s interest. The Contracting Officer shall terminate by delivering to the Contractor a Notice of Termination
specifying the extent of termination and the effective date."

"The Contracting Officer, by written notice, may terminate
this contract, in whole or in part, when it is in the Government’s
interest. If this contract is terminated, the rights,
duties, and obligations of the parties, including compensation
to the Contractor, shall be in accordance with Part 49 of the
Federal Acquisition Regulation in effect on the date of this
contract."

Customer is OK (for me)

atro, who exactly *r* those people who vetoed "client?" i m just curious because client is a standard contract word de jour. however, if ur pesky superiors do no like it, and if ur contract has to do with procurement or installation of equipment, then may be "owner" would be more palatable to them? for ex, Contractor shall lay the pipeline in strict adherence to Owner's specifications. if they don't like, then they r just being fussy and r rejecting ur suggestions for kicks.

Romeo, employer здесь с очевидностью не катит,т.к. предполагает наличие между сторонами трудовых, а не гражданско-правовых отношенй.
Если Вы понимаете эту разницу, то Вы осознаете и неуместность подобного термина применительно к договору, предусмотренному частью 2 ГК РФ.

Талгат все правильно сказал.
