It performs functions of providing state services and law application services in the sphere of managing special economic zones, functions of controlling fulfillment of agreements on industrial, manufacturing, research and development, and tourist and recreational activities in special economic zones, in special economic zones in ports, and ensuring a special legal mode of the Special Economic Zone in the Kaliningrad Region.
