Earned value analysis is usually performed on man-hour amounts associated with the WBS work packages. The standard measures taken reflect this. The standard measures used in controlling the project are: The Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), the Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP) and the The Actual Cost of Work Schedule(ACWS), Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS). The ACWP and BCWP, the ACWS and BCWS will be compared. This comparison will generate the Cost Variance (CV), the Schedule Variance (SV), the Cost Productivity Index (CPI) and the Schedule Productivity Index (SPI).
