Subject: avoidable materials and situations OHS
I have a MSDS of a chemical to be translated and in chapter "Стабильность и химическая активность" there is a line:
avoidable situations and avoidable materials;

how to put it correctly in Russian?
To me "избегаемые условия" don't seem quite correct.

consider:
Нежелательные условия и материалы

situations тут, видимо, будут "предотвратимыми", а с материалами коротко навряд ли получится... что-то типа "необязательного применения"... в эту вот сторону, по-моему...

Eh... If I may venture a personal opinion, then, based on my experience, in a MSDS, in the Chapter "Стабильность" it is rather "нежелательные" than "необязательного применения".

"Стабильность" and "необязтельность применения" do not go together well in a MSDS.

Dear Коллега Шумов, I am sorry, but this time I am not with you. I side with Foxtrot.

Alexander, I must admit being totally out of my depth with MSDS... But could it really be that "situations and materials to be avoided" equals "avoidable situations and materials"?

Well, if the author of this MSDS is not a native English speaker, then, who knows :)

Thanks!

Нежелательные seems to fit ok!
(The author is not native English speaker)
