как то это у вас безнадежно прозвучало.

Я понимаю это примерно так.
Возьмем лошадку, ее можно "пришпорить", или, потянув за поводья (pull up), заставить умерить шаг.

То же самое и тут, с муфтой (имхо). Ее можно заставить гидравлически заторомозить? Остановить вращение ведомого вала?
Точнее судить вам, у вас больше текста.

в общем, перевожу инструкцию по установке гидравлической (гидродинамической) муфты.

This procedure will be applicable to couplings with hydraulic pull up system.

To start with the pull up process the first operation will be to purge the air at internal chambers connecting at position one of the pumps and introducing oil until the oil start to flow by.

В моем упрощенном понимании гидравлическая муфта передает крутящий момент от одного вала к другому, но pull up? натяжение?
