I am swinging for the fences and trying to hit the ball out of the park on the first pitch of the game.
Я даже не понимаю, к чему оно в этом контексте. Может, это какое-нибудь образное выражение???
Выражение встречается в следующем контексте:
My overtrading mistakes have occurred in this circumstance, mostly when my TIMID trend readings indicate no trend is currently in force, but that the technical foundation is being laid for one to emerge. мне кажется, это жаргонные выражения из их национальной игры (скорее всего ам.футбол или бейсбол или гольф)

Я думаю, смысл в том, что он входит в раж и делает ненужные, в общем-то действия - чересчур рискует, что неоправданно вначале захода. То есть, "пытается побыстрее убрать мяч со своего поля, еще на первых подачах". Просто образно объясняет свои действия.

Он сравнивает игру на бирже со спортивной игрой, отсюда "swing", "fence", "first pitch" ну и, собственно, "game" - тот же риск, азарт и стратегии.

The game is baseball.
"Swinging for the fence", is a sacrifice in terms of caution for initial quick payout in this context.
(If you swing for the fence you can have a "home run" in which the defensive players in the outfield are incapable of throwing the ball back to one of the bases, however it is more difficult and prone to failure.)
