DETERMINING SIZE
Newspaper advertisements are booked based on the column width and number of lines in
the advertisement. The sales representative can help you calculate the total number of lines
in the advertisement using this formula:
Total lines = CW x LD
Note: If your advertisement does not exactly fit the newspaper columns, the sales
representative may ask to alter the advertisement size proportionately (up or down) to
make it fit the columns. If the advertisement is slightly smaller than the column width, they
