| The sheer length of sessions makes you believe that the MPs are constantly and freely discussing the gov. policy. In reality, however, the MPs are under strict control of their leaders and they are unable to voice their opinion even if they wanted to. Members of the bourgeois factions are diciplined by the so-calked "whip corps", consisting of the chief whip, the chief whip's deputy and the whips appointed by the party leader. |
