Подскажите плз., не пойму значения фразы (сабж).

Контекст:
Check the line voltage (V) and
the frequency (Hz) matches the
fi gure indicated on the identifi cation
plate.
Before inserting the plug, check
the switch upstream of the socket
is disconnected.
Then insert the plug in the relevant
electricity socket.
