Svetlana, it's extremely hard to translate subject names. I mean we can do it and speculate and argue what term is the best BUT! you won't be able to use it for any official purpose. It has to be done by accredited professionals. They compare subjects, hours, names, and etc. of different countries and they have been trained for this particular purpose. So I would recommend you not to waste your time but instead contact one of the accredited agencies (Google on credential evaluation agencies) and they will do the job. Make sure they are accredited.

Thanks,i know that I can't use it for any official purpose but I don't need it use in it this way because I have already contacted to WES orgaization for my diploma's registration.I need informal translation for my college before i get formal translation.

But that's the point - we can't translate it because we don't know the difference between the nature of studies. Russian (if you have diploma from Russia) and American legal systems are so different that you can't even compare them because a lot of the concepts you were studying are simply not there. And this is really the first time in my practice that a college is asking to provide an informal translation. What do they need it for?
