Section 2.01 Eligibility
Application for membership in the corporation may be made by any organisation (Applicant)
that desires to participate in a bank card and/or travellers cheque programme utilising either
or both of the marks, VISA and the Blue, White and Gold Bands Design, and/or such other
marks as may from time to time be adopted by the corporation (“Card Programme” and
“Cheque Programme” respectively; for the purposes of these By-Laws, a Visa TravelMoney
programme shall be deemed to be a Card Programme), and is:
a) Organised under the commercial banking laws or their equivalent of any country or
subdivision thereof, and authorised to accept demand deposits; or
b) Controlled by (i) one or more organisations described in (a), (c), (d), and/or (e), or (ii) an
organisation which controls one or more organisations described in (a), and engaged or
to be engaged primarily in the bank card and/or travellers cheque, and/or Visa
TravelMoney Card business and related activities; or
c) Entitled to Charter Membership pursuant to Section 2.13; or
d) An organisation whose eligibility is required to prevent the corporation, any of its
members, or members or owners of a member described in Section 2.01(b) or (f),
from being in violation of applicable law; or
e) An organisation (i) whose membership the Board of Directors deems necessary to
penetrate a given country in which no Principal has jurisdiction, or (ii) that the Principals
with jurisdiction in a given country unanimously agree should be made eligible in such
country; or

Организация, (i) чье членство Совет директоров сочтет необходимым для установления присутствия (платежной системы Visa) в данной стране, в которой не зарегистрирован ни один Основной член (я правильно понимаю, что Principal здесь - Основной член системы Visa?), либо (ii) если Основные члены, имеющие юрисдикцию в данной стране, единогласно согласятся с тем, что такая организация удовлетворяет требованиям (может быть принята в члены) Visa

У Визы есть Основные члены, Ассоциированные ...а есть еще Merchant Acquirer Banks - это кто такие?
