I am not dyslexic. I have sever problmes with my hands.
LGBT is very common and acceptable term.
Minorities is relaly not accurate.... Hardly anyone is truly straight all the time, 100% of their life.

М.б., где-то оно и common, но в данном случае это, слава Богу, не есть правильный перевод. :о)

Комментировать вторую часть высказывания не стану, что же касается верности или неверности утверждения, то наша задача в данном случае - mind our bl-y translation business. А в исходном тексте говорится именно о меньшинствах.

Аккурат сегодня перед занятиями со студентами читала Линн Виссон "Русские проблемы в английской речи", и совершенно случайно (или неслучайно) попался вот такой пассаж: "Обощающим политкорректным названием для гомосексуалистов и лезбиянок является alternative life style".
