ON the initiative (far as I remember...) Вообще, неплохая конструкция "it is ... that": It is on the initiative of the management that the chair /department ... was founded on 10 Aug... И еще pls consider: Precisely [watchkeeper +1 :)] on the initiative of the management was ... etc. [т.е. с инверсией] |

Они образованность свою показать хочут, и поэтому все время говорят о непонятном... ;) Я просто знаю, что on sbd's initiative - стандартное выражение. OTOH, если вспомнить, какие выражения сейчас считаются стандартными в русском... Thanx anyway! |

| кто ж с вами спорит что on sbd's initiative стандартное употребление? my point - nothing is wrong with "because of somebody's initiative" when you want to underline the causality. :-) |

Теперь дошло! Thnx again А, кстати, можно еще как-нибудь и в активном залоге (The management intiated ...). Жаль, аскер уже, кажется, не в сети. "А у нас было еще столько идей" :( |
