сделать резкий вираж по дуге

Все та же кгига и новое предложение, заставившее меня задуматься:
Задержавшись, словно в раздумье, на пару секунд, сделала резкий вираж, по дуге облетая ветку яблони, увешанную яркими лимонно-жёлтыми плодами, и стремглав понеслась в небо.
Как вы думаете, можно его так перевести, исключив по дуге или надо кудысь вставить):
Having lingered for a few seconds, as in thought, it made banked, flying round a branch of an apple-tree which was hanged with bright lemon fruit and headfirst flew skyward.

an option:
Hesitating for a couple of seconds, as if thinking it over, she made a sudden turn flying an arc around an apple tree branch, heavy with bright lemon-yellow fruit, and then she darted into the sky.
