Since the main AGRU only removes mercaptans to a relatively small extent, a major part of the mercaptans will come off the molecular sieve beds during regeneration and will result in a peak load to the SRUs. Peak shaving facilities may therefore be required in order to spread the mercaptans load to the SRU.
