Ой, не собиралась дочитывать эту ветку до конца, а тут на те :-). Я за current для текущего/расчетного, на втором месте (если уж очень надо) payment, а затем settlement. Еще один вариант для счета, по которому ведутся day-to-day операции - basic bank account и instant access account (на чем акцент?). В зависимости от контекста, можно просто bank account/company's account и т.д.

да не на чем, просто обычный банковский счет компании для текущих операций. В английской литературе он обычно никак не конкретизируется. Согласен, что current и settlement - это скорее местная традиция (попытки перевести таким образом наш "расчетный счет"), но и payment(s) account - что-то мне неведомое. Честно пытался найти пояснения в интернете - не нашел. Хиты в основном выдают balance of payments account и receipts and payments account, которые представляют собой разного вида отчеты и не имеют ничего общего с банковским счетом. Отельных payments account мне не встретилось.
В контексте аскера я бы оставил account без определения или добавил corporate

Irisha, current account в качестве альтернативы payments account я предложил Гуглеру с самого начала (scroll up), но потом, погуляв по ссылкам, сам усомнился в адекватности этого варианта. Говоря о местной традиции, я имел в виду только попытки перевести наш, российский "расчетный счет юридического лица" этим самым текущим счетом, в то время, как определения, найденные в интернете, касаются в основном либо макроэкономического счета текущих операций, либо текущего счета частных лиц. Из ваших ссылок последние нам не авторитет (are they?:), будучи индийского и литовского происхождения, барклайский вариант (3-ий снизу) из раздела personal banking (то есть опять же для частных лиц), а первый сверху - тоже барклайский, но из раздела услуг для малого бизнеса. В общем, если current account иcпользовать в контексте аскера вместо payments account, то имхо с добавлением business or corporate.
