Subject: pharmaceuticals what does ORS stand for? does anybody know? would be much obliged if somebody could offer a plossible deciphering of this acronym. the context is as follows:The ZdravPlus study of 2000 quoted 1996/7 data showing that whereas sample pharmacies had 90% availability of simple drugs such as analgesics , other vital drugs such as ORS, rifampicin and insulin were available in only 30% of cases. my highest regards and deepest feelings of gratitude |
знаю только одну расшифровку - oral rehydration solution или salt, в определенных обстоятельствах может быть vital |
thanx, seryoga, your suggestion seems to have done the trick. i just always used the term systemic carbohydrates and elecotrlytes (SCE) myself to denote what the author of the report i am working on called ORS. thanx again, u always seem to have an answer up your sleeve when the question is relevant to medicine. u r not a fellow MD urself, r u? |

now, that is what i call a laconic answer, worthy of someone with a name steeped in greek tradition. impressive |
