"Work" тут, мне кажется, употребляется в значении "изделие".

1. Eliminate pieces of thin work being caught - Предотвратить застревание тонких изделий между планками.

2. trapping of work - опять же, застревание изделий.

3. Тут не "pitch links", a "(101.6 mm pitch) links" - звенья с шагом в 101.6 mm.
