Subject: BASEL II Morning everybody!I am helping a co-worker transalate some bits from Basel II so she can include them in some metoidka she is working on. the translation is ready except for one little annoying point. in the context i have given below, is the banking book the same as say the cash book? I assume it is a book of prime entry but which one? and how to then to say "banking book" in russian? thanks a zillion guys! hm... my co-worker just told me that she already has this Russian Basel text and that it is the worst translation she has seen anywhere so far. that sucks. how would you guys rate the translations on this site? |
| That's the official site of the Central Bank of Russia... If they publish such documents (whether tranlsated or original) I think they consider them acceptable. |

densch that's what i think but, she says the translation is really bad. I guess it can happen to anyone, even CBRF, every so often. But I also think that part of her problem might be in her understanding of the original English. who knows. |
