Имеется кусок текста на пробный перевод:
Определяют количество дистиллированной воды, которое нужно залить в эксикатор, исходя из того, чтобы расстояние от зеркала воды до испытуемых пластин составляло 6-7 см. Смазывают шлиф эксикатора вакуумной смазкой или техническим вазелином, заливают в него определенное количество дистиллированной воды, закрывают эксикатор крышкой и помещают в сушильный шкаф, нагретый до (50±2)°С. Через 30 минут эксикатор вынимают из шкафа.

Мой перевод:
Determine the amount of the distilled water to fill the desiccator so that the distance between the water surface and the tested plates is 6-7 sm. The desiccator lap is treated by a vacuum lubrication or a petroleum jelly, then the dessicator is filled with the determined amount of the distilled water, covered with a lid and placed in the dryer which is preheated up to (50±2)°С. The dessicator is taken out of the dryer in 30 minutes.

Вопрос такой: как правильно переводить "определяют", "смазывают", "вынимают" и т.д. Я где-то использую повелительное наклонение, т.е просто "Determine", где то "is filled", "is covered", то есть единства формы изложения достичь не могу. Может кто подскажет ссылку на английские инструкции к проведению лабораторных опытов?

Calculate the amount of distilled water to be poured into the exsiccator so that the distance between water surface and tested plates is 6-7 cm. Grease the exsiccator's polished area with vacuum lubricant or vaseline, fill the exsiccator with the calculated amount of distilled water, cover it with a lid and place into a dryer preheated to (50±2)°С for 30 minutes.
