Кстати, если не указывать как долго пьеса в репертуаре (с предлогом for), то 'the play is on' хороший перевод для "пьеса идет там-то".

The play is on at the Globe Theater. Эта пьеса идет в Globe Theater (стоит в репертуаре).

При этом с предлогом until и конкретными датами to be on (=идти) употребляется:

Cinderella is on at Darlington Civic Theatre unti 21st January
