BTW, to continue the "a la guerre comme a la guerre" discussion,

the most refined and sophisticated among/ the creme de la creme/the upper crust of English-language writers who are as much as proficient in French are very likely to use here yet another of the proverbial French bons mots, i.e. "de parti pris".

"As the US presidential race enters the home stretch, reporting becomes increasingly (de) parti pris".

Mind you, in Hicksville a few bloaks may not get it, partly or at all.
