Контекст:

The reflux is pumped into the stabilizer on tower top temperature control. The overhead liquid product, containing not more than 1.0 mol % pentanes, is taken off on receiver level control to an additional fractionation column (Deethanizer) to produce LPG. The net overhead gas leaves the receiver on pressure control to the refinery fuel gas system.

Очень ИМХО:
net overhead gas - суммарный газ верха / суммарный шлемовый газ

[optymix]

можно назвать его балансовым газом верха, можно просто газом верха. Балансовый (net)он потому что его считают в матбалансе.
