Cross-divisional efforts paying off
Arozin says SEB’s excellent assessment "appears to be the result of our efforts in recent years to further develop the Corporate & Institution operations in the Baltic region."
He stresses, however, that while SEB has performed well as a corporate bank in Eastern Europe, it has to do more to stem rising competition.
"We cannot just sit still, thinking we have accomplished enough," Arozin says. "While we are a strong company, and probably the best when it comes to the major corporate segment, our competitors - particularly Nordea - are not that far behind. This is why we have to become better at solving our clients' problems while increasing our customer activity to become the best bank in the long term."

Спасибо, в этом направлении я и думаю, и у меня в последнем предложении Merchant Banking не ложится. Объединение усилий местных подразделений с чем? С торговой банковской деятельностью центральных офисов?
