Честно говоря, всегда считал по-другому. Просто в договорах, которые переводил вместо данной фразы употреблялись другие клише.

(The subject matter of the agreement/thereof is that/Subject to terms and conditions thereof)
XXX shall regularly inform YYY of...
XXX shall cause data/information on... to be regularly communicated/submitted to...
XXX shall ensure that YYY is kept informed of...
