DIAMOND II ANNUBAR PRIMARY FLOW ELEMENT

The Diamond II Annubar primary flow element is designed to give the highest possible performance. It is the most rigorously tested sensor of its type and has proven its accuracy and reliability in hundreds of thousands of applications around the world. The Annubar primary flow element has a +/-1% of rate accuracy over a 10:1 flow turndown.

How it works...
Diamond II Annubar flow sensors are patented primary flow sensing elements. They are inserted into the flow stream across the pipe diameter. The pressure drop across the sensor is minimal because of its very low restriction to flow.
Sensing ports are located on both the upstream and downstream sides of the Annubar primary flow element. These ports are connected to dual averaging plenums. The number of ports is proportional to pipe diameter. The upstream ports and plenum produce an average impact pressure. The downstream ports and plenum produce an average reference pressure. The difference is an accurate and stable DP signal that is proportional to the square of the flow rate.
The Annubar primary flow element sensor technology is the key to the increased performance of the ProBar and Mass ProBar flowmeters.
