Subject: OFF: help Nina with the Rysski This is no joke.I am wondering if anyone here wants to get together and have tea or something with me this weekend and force me to speak, oh my God, RUSSIAN. Thing is, yeah the hubbers is Russian, but when you only speak to one person your language doesnt really develop as this person just gets used to your usual mistakes and begins to ignore them becasue he understands you anyhow. And as anyone who was at the last Pow-Wow can guess, Nina really stinks at meeting people because she is too shy to open her mouth. Recently, over the last 6 months, everyone I know here has moved out of the country and has been (with help from me) really bad at keeping in touch. So this is Nina reaching out. This is Nina begging for that ever so necessary language practice and kick in the butt so that she will stop forgetting everything she knows. This might also be Nina lacking in stimulating conversation, who knows. And maybe this is the shy way of saying, "hey, do you guys want to be my friends?" like a five-year-old girl with glasses, freckles, crooked pig-tails, eyes pointed at the ground and feet shifting uncomfortably as she clutches onto her indez finger for comfort. :))))))) (ok, see, if i could have written this all in russian in the last 2 seconds, i would think my russian wasnt limping so horridly.) Anyhow, if anyone is interested, please let me know. |

***English is not needed*** Don't be so straightforward. It may be the case that your best chance is to cooperate with someone here who wants to improve his/her English. Then it will be a pragmatic deal for both sides. Just curiosity and a need to socialize may not work as an incentive for a long time. |

Nina, It's about a perfimer actually who's a killer at the same time. You should read the novel before watching the film. I didn't like it a lot hough. But many people did. |
