Если компания, например, организует сбор индивидуальных пожертвований для чего бы там ни было на основе Dollar-for-Dollar Match, это значит, сколько она насобирает от людей в сумме, столько сама и добавит своих средств на это пожертвование.

но здесь ведь речь идет о другом
вообще, это гарантийное письмо, где Канадский банк указывает условия, на которых будет организовывать финансирование. Вот здесь привожу текст одного из условий полностью: (смысл понятен, а вот принцип уменьшения обязательства Банка - нет)
Syndication. We reserve the right, prior to or after the execution of the definitive documentation for the Credit Facilities (the “Loan Documents”), to syndicate all or a portion of our commitment in respect of the Credit Facilities to one or more financial institutions or other potential lenders selected by the Lead Arranger in consultation with you (together with us, the “Lenders”), and our commitment hereunder shall be reduced dollar-for-dollar as and when commitments are received from the Lenders; provided that our syndication right does not, prior to such syndication, qualify our commitment hereunder and our commitment hereunder is not conditional on the obligations of other Lenders provided that the syndication conditions in the Term Sheet are satisfied. The Lead Arranger (or one of its affiliates) will manage all aspects of the syndication (in consultation with you), including decisions as to the selection of potential Lenders to be approached and when they will be approached, when their commitments will be accepted, which Lenders will participate and the final allocations of the commitments among the Lenders (which are likely not to be pro rata across facilities among Lenders), and the Lead Arranger will (except as otherwise agreed) exclusively perform all functions and exercise all authority as customarily performed and exercised in the capacities of Bookrunner, including selecting counsel for the Lenders and negotiating the Loan Documents. Any agent or arranger titles (including co-agents) awarded to other Lenders are subject to our prior written approval and shall not entail any role with respect to the matters referred to in this paragraph without our prior written consent. You agree that no Lender will receive compensation outside the terms contained herein and in the Fee Letter in order to obtain its commitment to participate in the Credit Facilities. Further, you will cooperate with us in the marketing of the Credit Facilities, all as the Lead Arranger may reasonable request.
