Интересно.... а как же все-таки правильно? :)))) whose production я тоже встречала, но мне почему-то этот вариант казался каким-то неблагозвучным, а по ссылке denghu - очень часто употребляемый вариант. BBC тоже авторитетная компания :))) Может оба ? |

tatu и так и так правильно. также как на русском, на английском есть много правильных вариантов и много завистит от тона, стилья, и тд. |

Меня бесят люди, которые совершенно не будучи в теме, делают заявления типа: это русизм/это рунглиш. Например, у нас женщина одна работала, которая утверждала, что "In accordance with" - русизм, а правильно исключительно "pursuant to". |

Levitan не говорю что это русизм просто не красиво звучит этот whose production по-англ. эта женшина наверно не любит как звучит in accordance with и поэтому говорит что это русизм когда на самом деле действительно можно так сказать |

2 Levitan It's only natural that we should be influenced by our native language competence. Take no offence. Even if possible, 'the production of which' looks like a word-for-word translation in the given context. A 'lazy" translation - that's the name for it. Lets call a spade a spade. "The production of which we have talked for so long is not my turf" - As I said, Althea's suggestion gets the meaning across better. Levitan, lets comment on the language without resorting to 'argumentum ad hominem'! Thank you. |
