Subject: urgent! ok, nix the balance sheets, etc. tehy just gave me this faxed and then scanned and then printed copy of an agreement to translate, russ - eng.the heading reads something like this (the quality is awful) соглашение о новации вексельного обязательства what is this in russian? thanks! |
novation of the promissory note - novation means that all the obligations on the note are no more valid (and this was agreed by the parties) by issuing a new one (Dictionary on economy and management/Lesyuk O., Titova V) |

right but how do i call this agreement in english? соглашение о новации вексельного обязательства agreement for the renewal of old promissory notes? |
why, you can say "Promissory note novation agreement" or just "Novation Agreement" - the latter seems even better |

one more question: Novation Agreement № 26/08-ЭК/АБ how to translate -ЭК/АБ? |
It depends on the agreement inner encoding system within a company. Ask some body how do they make up these numbers-codes - then decide. First figures - must be date, letters could be the sphere of economy, name of Bank etc. If there is no one to explain - use transliteration or, if it is possible, leave the russian letters. - that's my point of view |
