Еще одна заморочка встретилась - как перевести heel в предложении - it is clear enough that the drawdown applied is not equal throughout the horizontal section, the largest being at the heel and decreasing towards the toe of the horizontal section.
Смысл понятен, но слова адекватного подобрать не могу((.
Пожалуста, помогите.

to 10-4: а разве не toe - забой? я перевела эту часть предложения таким образом -*...понижаясь по направлению к забою...*
