Помогите перевести предложение на английский (из положения о директоре):
полномочия директору предоставляются на три года, директор может переизбираться неограниченное количество раз.

А можно здесь сказать "The term of office of a director shall be three years but may be renewable"??? Or ...shall be elected for a three-year renewable term of office/...shall be eligible for re-election at the end of each term.

не знаю, почему написала but, потому что в голове было however :-), но and в ТОМ варианте мне не видится. Объяснить не могу.

А так, самым простым мне кажется
...shall be elected for a term of three years (and shall be) eligible for re-election at the end of each term of office.

А как же неограниченное количичество раз - именно это у меня и не получается перевести

Первая часть фразы в русском оригинале составлена не совсем корректно.
Кроме того, не зная всего контекста, превести этот пассаж на элегантный английский сложно. Слишком много привходящих факторов.

Обычно подобные концепции передаются в английском праве с использованием терминов Tenure и incumbency.

Возможные варианты:
Directors shall be elected for a three-year term / for successive three-year terms in office each, and may be re-elected without limitation.

Each Director’s tenure shall be of three years and he/she may be further re-elected (for such successive three-year terms) without limitation.

The number of re-elections shall be without limitation / shall not be limited.

The number of director’s incumbencies shall be without limitation.

Кстати, **(and shall be) eligible for re-election at the end of each term of office** – тоже отличный вариант.

И таких еще с десяток.

Я бы воздержался от использования оборотов

во-втором варианте я б поменял he/she на более нейтральное (вами же и предложенное) the incumbent
