Subject: pressure pad tech. A pressure pad kit comprises the combination of two main component parts, the pressure pad and the strap corset. The pressure pad consists of two pneumatically operated flat pockets from vulcanised composite material. These inflatable pillows can be filled with compressed air up to a maximum pressure of 10 bar. The large contact area of the pads in combination with the contained pressure produces enormous forces – approximately 15 000 N or 1,5 tonnes per bar pressure! The bracing stress against the pressure pads is accomplished by means of a strap corset.Подскажите, пожалуйста, как лучше обозвать эти "надувные подушки", "прокладки", "пластины" ... а то ни одно название точно их смысл не передает.
