Subject: time-to-benefit
Could you please help me with the understanding of "time-to-benefit" as a term?
It is used in the following sentence " It also needed a solution with rapid time to benefit and low total cost of ownership. "

The text is about software solutions proposed and implemented.

Thanks to all for their help

The Visual Studio .NET environment and Visual Basic® .NET language enabled much of that rapid time to benefit. Evans estimates that the reusable components he could access via Visual Studio and the .NET Framework reduced the amount of code he needed to write by an impressive 75 percent—reducing future maintenance costs as well as speeding initial time to benefit. Visual Studio’s Help on the fly, debugger and self-documenting environment also facilitated the rapid development.
