в форуме нашел выражение "everybody's darling", но с пометой - устаревшее.
а есть еще варианты?

Аскер спрашивал что-нибудь современное.
На ум сразу пришло "Party lion" из Голсуорси, но это не то...
А вот что-нибудь поновее - "partyboyjk" - the coolest kid

As far as I remember, the right translate for this Russian expression is "people person". But its appropriateness depends on the context, as always:)

кстати, darling очень даже употребляется: crowds darling, media darling, pary darling....
