it's rather urgent. could someone venture a guess as to what this could be?

2Anatoly - it's not in the dictionary. If this is a 'normal word' would you mind defining it? I'm not asking for a translation, just an explanation of what it means in Russian, if not too much trouble. Thanks

It's like supervision of installation work by the vendor, or when a facility is installed on the site by the vendor rather than by the customer.
It's my understanding without any research, may be not precise.
