Subject: Stacks and Cards Помогите, пожалуйста, подобрать корректный перевод для словосочетания "„Stacks and Cards“Контекст: презентация нового автобуса Mercedes (на немецком языке). Речь в тексте идет о приборной панели в кабине водителя. Предложение полностью: Новая концепция "Stacks and Cards". Больше никаких пояснений. Заранее благодарю |
А как же гугл? The new 'Stacks and Cards' system is a sophisticated control concept that enables quick and efficient navigation between the individual menu groups (Stacks - such as route information or current vehicle data) and their sub-menus (Cards) via buttons on the steering wheel.

I don't know what 'Stacks and Cards' means -- but I somehow suspect it's a trade mark invented by Mercedes for some of the software used in their latest buses, rather than an established/descriptive automotive term. Why? Because I've seen translations of it into 6 or 7 other languages, inc Russian, and in each case they've left "Stacks and Cards" in the English: * If you look at the Mercedes-Benz Bus website (https://www.mercedes-benz-bus.com/en_GB/models/tourismo-rhd/comfort-and-design/comfort.html) and search down for "stacks" you'll see that it refers to a "Stacks and Cards menu" in English. * However, if you then search for it on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QtEEdUBJN4) you'll see that it also refers to a „Stacks&Cards"-System in German. (This page also has brief descriptions of it in both German and English, explaining that 'Stacks' are menus containing vehicle information and that 'Cards' are sub-menus of 'Stacks'). * Finally, here's a Russian text which refers to it: https://www.mercedes-tcvostok.ru/ru/desktop/buses/tourismo-rhd/comfort-and-design/comfort.html . This has also left "Stacks and Cards" in English. Therefore I would consider treating it as a trade mark and leaving "Stacks and Cards" in the English. |
