Периметр договора (обязательств по договору) - Scope?

Как-то привык, что scope - объём или предмет договора.

И тут узнал, что есть еще и "периметр" (периметр обязательств по договору), помимо собственно объема/предмета еще и входят "затрагиваемые договором третьи стороны и географические территории" и вообще всё-всё, что этот договор затрагивает или может затронуть, включая глобальное потепление и гибель китов на другой стороне планеты.

Само по себе слово perimeter иногда в интернете проскакивает в фразах типа "EBA publishes an Opinion on the perimeter of credit institutions"

Помогайте, плз.

тема не моя, вопрос прочитал чисто смеха ради - и тут же в голову полезли всякие surface, exposure, и даже где-то footprint ... скорее всего полная ерунда, но не держать же все это в себе :)

Consider 'frontier(s)'. Outlines. Range. Come up with good ol' area. But if you don't want your translation to look too awkward (like the fanciful original), use 'scope'. Keep it simple. IMO 'scope' is so extensible that it does cover all the cases and facets described.

Actually, whatever word you will finally choose, it will be strictly defined in the contract. Call me a pot if you like it -- but don't put me in the stove, as Russians say.

2 Phyloneer: Thanks. Something pushes me to assume that "scope" and "perimeter" are somewhat different sine "the scope and perimeter of the" ... contract, activities, etc. is something that can be googled.

А вот, увы, другое. Таких строгих ссылок на весь Великий Гугл всего 14.

Но в общем да, пока что склоняюсь к perimeter, несмотря на бубнёж гугла и гуглёж бубна. Гуглёж русского "периметр соглашения" заставляет так предполагать.

IMO It's a pure rhetoric. Scope and perimeter, or just perimeter (of agreement) === scope. See them write 'the scope & perimeter IS' (not are), in the above screenshot. It's a rhetoric. Opt between rhetorics or concreteness yourself, you risk nothing.

The problem is that I am translating this thing for Skolkovo and they sometimes speak somewhat strange (not to say weird) language down there. OK, still have time to think where the common sense ends and the bright new world starts.
